Sultan Wazir khan has wide spectrum of experience on Taxation including Sales Tax, Income Tax, Federal Excise Duty, Wealth Tax and Capital Value Tax. He has served the Federal Government for more than 30 years in his capacity Deputy Commissioner, Additional Commissioner and Commissioner Inland Revenue under the FBR. His vast experience extends to all the provincial capital of Pakistan. Moreover, during his illustrious career, he has dealt with all the revenue generating sectors. He has also represented the FBR in the High Court, Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO), Tribunal Inland Revenue and all the concerned authorities. Moreover, he served as the Additional Director and Director Internal Audit Inland Revenue and he has an in depth Departmental Experience. He has a vast experience in various corporate and non-corporate Tax cases. During his illustrious carrier he dealt with important sectors including Shipping, Ship Breaking, Clearing & forwarding, Textile Industry, Garments Industry, Plastic Packaging, Builders and Developers, Contractors, Financial Sector, Airlines, Professionals such as lawyers, Architects, Chartered Accounting Firms etc.

Role in Team
Mr. Sultan will serve as Taxation expert, he will be looking for Tax policy matters and overall view on the Tax matter related to litigations, advisory and policy making, and Active participation in key decisions, maintaining day-to-day business conduct.

Mr. Naveed Sultan has extensive experience in advising local and international companies for effective tax planning and management. He has more than 10 years’ experience in audit, financial advisory, treasury and accounting. He has worked for Ernst & Young Karachi and Abu-Dhabi office and as Head of Finance in Herbion Pakistan. He has also worked as Group chief financial officer of Nueplex Cinemas, MJB Construction, Excellency films, JB films. Group chief financial officer of Unity foods and hence has direct knowledge of industry. His prime area of focus under direct taxation includes tax compliance, investment analysis, cross border transactions and transfer pricing. He also advice on matters related to sales tax, custom tax and TDAP. He has extensive knowledge of tax refunds specially sales tax and income tax. He is advocate High Court and Tribunal.

Syed Muhammad Hassan Meerza is a Partner looking after the legal matters at Sultan & Sultan. He is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan. He began his practice of law in 2009 at M/s. Muhammad FaroghNaseem& Co. with a particular focus on constitutional, tax and commercial/civil litigation. After acquiring his High Court license, he joined the offices of MCAS&W Law Associates (formerly known as Muneer A. Malik & Co.) looking after the litigation matters pertaining to different issues ranging from constitutional matters, fiscal matters, disputes in relation to civil, property and commercial transactions, as well as criminal law.

Hassan also has vast experience of working as in-house counsel for multiple organizations including K-Electric, TCS, PTCL and SSGC. He looked after their litigation matters which pertained to employment, fiscal, civil, commercial, property and criminal issues. He advised the departments on employment laws, negotiated contracts and played an integral part in formulating an effective mechanism within the department to tackle legal disputes.
